Nyx is the Greek goddess (or personification) of the night. Nyx stood at or near the beginning of creation and mothered other personified deities such as Hypnos (Sleep). She is such a figure of exceptional power and beauty that she is feared by Zeus himself.

Amazing things happen to us at night. Our brain sorts and processes the day's information, hormones flood our body, our sympathetic nervous system chills out, cortisol levels lower, we dream, and our immune system releases inflammation fighting cytokines. This is just the short list.
